Kaduna Division, the Court of Appeal, has annulled Abdulmumin Jibrin’s election since the member representing constituency of Kano state.
Honesty Ajoke Adepoju delivered the judgment after taking into consideration an please filed with Aliyu Yako, the entrant or the Peoples egalitarian individual concerned (PDP), from the February 23 election.
The PDP along with yako had approached the court to challenge Jibrin’s success along with the APC, which had been maintained by the Elections Petition Tribunal in September.
But providing the direct conclusion on Friday, Justice Ajoke nullified two elections held at the constituency upon realising the last outcome inside Form EC (8)E as filed was mutilated.
Reacting by means of a statement published on his social networking webpages, Jibrin stated he”profoundly disagrees” with the conclusion of the appellate court but has accepted that the judgment for a democrat in good faith.
The petitioners appealed to the Court of Appeal, also with a decision today delivered, the petitioners’ appeal has been permitted.
